What Does Counselling Look Like?

Counselling is a safe and confidential space where you can talk about anything that’s on your mind—whether it’s something that's been bothering you for a while or something that's come up recently. Each session lasts 50 minutes, and this is a time just for you, to explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences. 


We’ll work together to decide what kind of approach feels most helpful to you. Throughout the process, it's important that you feel comfortable, so we’ll always check in to see how things are going and adjust if something isn’t working for you. Counselling is about finding the right balance and approach for you and your unique situation. 


Some clients may find that talking about their feelings in a certain way is helpful, while others may benefit from more action-oriented strategies, like setting goals or using mindfulness exercises. In pluralistic counselling, we explore what feels right for you and can switch approaches as your needs change over time. 


The focus is very much on you as a whole person, and I’m committed to working together to find the methods that best suit your personality, goals, and challenges.  

What is Expected From You?

Your commitment to being present, engaged, and open during counselling, along with sharing feedback when needed, will make the most out of our work together. 


I understand that sometimes life can get in the way, and things come up that might make it difficult to attend an appointment. However, regular attendance is really important for making progress in counselling. When sessions are missed or cancelled without notice, it can interrupt the flow of our work together, and we may not be able to address your needs as effectively. 

What if I Need to Cancel?

If you need to cancel or reschedule a session, please provide at least 48 hours’ notice.
Cancellations made with less than 48 hours’ notice will result in the full session fee being charged.


Session Length and Late Arrivals

Sessions are 50 minutes in length. If you anticipate arriving late and let me know in advance, we can still proceed with the session; however, it will end at the originally scheduled time and cannot be extended.


If you have not arrived within 15 minutes of the scheduled start time and I have not heard from you, the session will be considered a late cancellation.

If you’re experiencing challenges that make regular attendance difficult, please let me know. We can discuss adjustments to help ensure the schedule works for your needs.

Payment

Sessions must be paid for in full before the start of a session.


Revolut, card payment and cash accepted.
